Named after the New Westminster, B.C. Police K9 Officer 'Dave Yurkiw' that designed it, the Yurkiw patrol and tracking Dog Harness is the most versatile dog harness we have ever built. The Yurkiw dog harness is a favorite with Police K9 officers but can also be used Schutzhund agitation and/or tracking. The side adjustments are made with heavy duty Velcro for a perfect fit. The Breast Plate is made with our high quality Latigo leather and padded with felt padding. The buckle that attaches the belly strap is a "cop lock" buckle that has a 3 point release buckle for extra security.

Note: The Yurkiw dog harness is very similar to our Dual Purpose Patrol and Tracking harness. The main difference is the two additional 'D' rings on either side of the Yurkiw harness that can be used for pulling. Because of the additional 'D' rings this harness can only accommodate the 2" x 4" embroidered badges on the sides. Or one 2" x 8" badge on the vest.

This harness can accommodate 2 the following badges on the sides:
Service ID Badge - Embroidered ID Badge $7.49

This harness can accommodate 1 the following badges on the vest:
Service ID Badge - High Reflective ID Badge $7.95

Service ID Badge - Non Reflective ID Badge $4.95

Service ID Badge - Ultra Reflective ID Badge $7.95

Girth Measurements:

Girth M 32"-37"
Girth L 33"-40"

How To Measure Your Dog
Find your dog's girth, which is the widest point of your dog's chest and rib cage area. Harness size measurements are based on girth, which can vary according to breed. Some dogs, like Boxers, are more deep-chested than others. It is important to accurately measure your dog's girth for the best size possible.

1) Stand over your dog and place one end of the tape measure on his spine, just above the widest part of his rib cage.

2) With your other hand, wrap the tape measure behind his front legs and around his body, going underneath the widest part of his rib cage. Place this end next to the beginning of the tape. Put your thumb on the number that meets up with the beginning of the tape measure. The higher number is the girth measurement.

3) Order the proper harness size based on your dog's girth measurement. If your dog's measurement falls between two different sizes, order the larger size if want to allow room to grow.
